Alamo Heights is a tiny but affluent little city in the San Antonio area of the state of Texas. It seems at first glance to have little to recommend it to anyone. The city is named, of course, for the incident that took place at the Alamo during the war with Mexico. By then, in 1922, the population had reached around 3000. Alamo Heights developed rapidly in terms of modernization, with paved roads, eventually a community swimming pool, nature trails and much more. Now it has that friendly small-town feel without sacrificing quality of lifestyle. The city has a square mileage of 1.9.
