Have you ever rescued a lawn from certain death? How did you do it?
A customer was deployed in active military service and they got a warning from the city saying they needed to cut the grass because it was too long. They were able to call and have me come cut the grass and get it taken care of since they were out of the country. They were able to get it cut and not be hassled by the city. They were super appreciative of that.

Advice for anyone interested in starting their own lawn care business?
Don't be afraid to take a risk, we all learn from mistakes. Just start with equipment that you can afford. You don't have to go out and buy brand new equipment, start with a smaller mower and then get started and then you can save up money and buy bigger equipment.

What successes have you achieved from working in this industry?
I have a four-year old son. I've been able to provide for our family. He's better because I've been able to make more money. Also,I have some customers that I've been servicing their yard for over three years now.

What made you want to start a lawn care service?
Getting to work outside, having the freedom to set my own schedule, and being able to help people. I especially like older customers or anybody who is in a situation where they aren't able to cut their grass. A lot of times they are very appreciative.

How did you learn to take care of a lawn?
I started in 2013. I learned on the job. I grew up doing stuff around my house and helping mow the grass when I was a kid so I was familiar with it. My parents had me mow the grass and do stuff around the house. So I grew up with an appreciation of doing that kind of stuff.

What do you love most about being a lawn care provider?
The satisfaction of helping people in taking care of and feeling a sense of pride in their home.

Fair attention to detail and genuinely having an interest in treating customers homes as if it were my home.
