I grew up in Nashville, TN and moved to Indianapolis in 1996.
Have you ever rescued a lawn from certain death? How did you do it?
Actually, when I moved here my house had no front yard due to the previous owner's neglect. I put topsoil to grade the yard then seeded it heavily with a coating of hay. By the time it was fall my yard was coming in nice. I repeated this for the next two years as well as fertilization applications.
How did you get into lawn care?
My dad taught me when I was young. From letting me cut the grass to maintaining mulch beds and other landscape ideas he had.
What advice do you think most people need to know about their lawns?
Not to cut your lawn super short in the summertime. The sun and heat will kill your lawn.
How do you relax after a long day?
Spend time with my newborn son Levi and his mother.
